The 2,400 acre park has a number of waterfalls along the 8 miles of river in the Bad River Gorge. There are about 23 miles of hiking, biking, and skiing trails within the park. The 8 miles of hiking trails include a segment of the North Country Trail. This video covers the 1.7 mile Doughboy Trail through the scenic heart of the park. The park and two adjacent state wildlife areas cover 5,900 acres on a peninsula in the Castle Rock Flowage of the Wisconsin River. The flowage that covers 13,955 acres is the 5th largest body of water in the state. Fishing and all sorts of water sports dominate the activities. You can access the 45 campsites by land or water.
